Actually a great course, so it should be a pleasure to play there.

We did it on Jan.25th. Big disappointment! It was absolutely an impertinence how dozens of greenkeepers behaved regardlessly and made any playing impossible by driving with their lawnmowers over fairways and greens. No consideration on players at all. Approaching a green one had to face greenkeepers not moving aside their machines but left them with running engines just in front of the green and went three steps away. No aproach shot or putting possible!!!

We know that after the HSBC Championship there are some specific works necessary, but as full paying guest (745 AED p.P.) you can expect more respect - or at least an information in advance by the Management and an appropriate discount ou voucher for proshop or Restaurant! We do not complain about workers disassembling galleries and stands from the tournament though noisy as well, but greenkeepers should be better educated.

I tried to book using Abu Dhabi Golf Club's own website which was not working. I then tried to call the club to book. Despite trying 4 times I got no answer. I therefore had to book using GolfScape. This meant I did not get the preferred TEC member rates so the price I paid was higher than I should have paid. When I got to the club to complain the staff member was unable to give me any explanation or help. I waited 20 mins for him to resolve but he couldn't. This also meant I had no time to hit some balls on the range before teeing off. When actually playing we found the course to be in poor condition. The Greens were bad and covered in salt. Also there was massive patches in the middle of the fairway of earth with no grass and surprisingly no 'Ground under repair signs. Also, there was a terrible smell coming from the water around the 6th, 7th and 8th holes.

We played the back nine of the championship course, then holes 19-27 which were of not the same standard and a bit tired in terms of condition.

    Excellent course well maintained

If you are not used to the heat 35degrees C - be aware Nov & Dec pre PGA Chamionship buggies restricted to paths means lots of walking to and from ball can be 'exhausting'
