The Denarau Golf & Racquet Club opened on the 9th June 1993 with a par 72, 6538-meter resort golf course designed by Mr. Eiichi Motohashi of Pannya Planning, Japan. Created from mangrove swamp with marine shaped bunkers and greens, the layout has water hazards on 15 of its 18 holes. The course is set in an idyllic tropical setting, surrounded by swaying palms the golfers play around and across a waterway that meanders through the course. As the golfers near the end of their round, they are stretched out to the beautiful blue waters of the South Pacific, which make you want to stay on the back of the 15th green for eternity.
