The course, designed by The Redcliffe Golf Club boasts a picturesque 18 hole Golf Course, located in the suburb of Clontarf Beach, just a 35 minute drive north of Brisbane the capital of Queensland. The championship standard course combines the characteristics of a sand belt coastal strip with the river estuary outlook across Hayes Inlet.
The course, designed by Stan Francis was built in 1935 and features a challenging Par 71, ACR 72, course length 6113 meters for men, and a Par 73, AWCR rating of 74, course length 5431 meters for the ladies. Its layout was unchanged until 1985 when the 9th and 10th holes were rebuilt to reduce ball damage to adjacent private property. The layout and the topography are such that no player on any tee has to hit-off into the sun during normal competition times.
A progressive maintenance program and a supply of recycled water from the Redcliffe City Council ensures superb year round greens and fairways. The prevailing ocean breezes can have a major influence on your game and when a strong south-easterly is blowing the three finishing holes can be a challenge to golfers of any calibre.
