    Royal Cape Golf Club

    • 174 Ottery Road, Wynberg
    • Cape Town, Western Cape 7808 South Africa

With over 130 years of proud history and tradition, Royal Cape Golf Club is South Africa's official home of golf. The oldest golf club in South Africa has evolved into what it is today, a classic 18-hole championship parkland course - tree lined with narrow fairways, subtle USGA spec built greens and challenging bunkers.

Although the course is on flat terrain, the playing of Royal Cape is subject to three of nature's beguiling offerings: a near constant breeze, sweeping Table Mountain views and a number of beautiful water features.

Royal Cape Golf Club has hosted the SA Open on ten occasions as well as many other professional and top amateur events. Winners at Royal Cape include Gary Player, Ernie Els and Mark McNulty. Royal Cape is designed to accommodate players of all skill levels, and visitors are most welcome to join us for a truly memorable Royal golfing experience.

Excellent green and fairways. A bit dry in parts because of the drought I suppose. Caddy useless! I will come back for only because of the green, really great

Course was in good nick given the circumstances. Caddies were mediocre. Greens in good condition, next months Seniors should be good. Looking foreword to playing again.

Considering the drought and the empty water basin the course was in good condition and we even had to cope with some rain falling down from the sky.

Although we are in the middle of a drought the coursw was in lovely condition. Clubhouse shady and colonial and a warm welcome. Best course in Cape Town..

Lovely mature course with superb greens, quite quick and tricky to read. Rest of course in good nick considering the very dry, hot weather over the last 2 months. Playing partners were long a standing member, and two other ex-members and their hospitality was very warm and generous. Old style clubhouse and the facilities much appreciated. Just a really enjoyable days golf.

The drought had a negative impact on the course. Difficult conditions that the club cannot influence.

Hospitality was very good and appreciated.
