    Paarl Golf Club

    • Boschenmeer Golf Estate
    • Wemmershoek Road
    • Paarl, Western Cape 7646 South Africa

The development of the Boschenmeer Estate, which incorporated the grounds of the Paarl Golf Club, took place in 1997 and changed the face of the Paarl Golf Club radically. The redevelopment created a further nine holes which became the Boschenmeer Nine, which resulted in the Western Cape's first 27 hole golf club.

In 2004 the new clubhouse was officially opened.

It has great surroundings, a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.  The drought has naturally affected the course.

It looks more like a desert than a golfcourse.

The holes 10 to 18 are a bit dry, but ok

. The holes 19 to 27 are a dessert. We know there is very little water around, but if you let people play the holes 19 to 27, they should get a reduction - or at least tell them about the bad condition in advance...

The Course is very dry and there are not enough buggies (sold out even 3 days before tee time). You need a buggy to play at 30+ at this course.

Very friendly and efficient welcome. Three nines and tee times managed well to avoid delay. Front nine was quick - 1.5 hrs but second nine was v slow (2.5hrs) as we (2xball) got stuck behind two four balls who did not allow us through.

Course is very dry due to the drought and the water features around the 9th and  18th greens are bone dry (so NOT climb into the dry bed to retrieve your ball as there is a local fine!!)

The course is next to a busy road which is a shame. Also note that the driving range is 0.5miles away and you need to allow a lot of time ahead of your tee time if you want to hit a bucket to warm up.

The course didn’t have a record of our booking, they had to squeeze us in into an already over booked course. We could only play 9 holes as there was a queue of 4 four balls on the tees..
