The Gary Player Golf Course designed by Gary Player, is an 18 hole par 72 walking course, with a 5km running trail along the course. Built in an extinct volcanic crater this fantastic golfing paradise conforms to the stringent US GA specifications and is ranked as one of the top five golf courses in South Africa. It is also home to the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

When construction of the Sun City Resort began in 1978, the decision was taken to build a golf course that would rival the best in the world. Today, in spite of stiff competition, the Gary Player Country Club is deservedly ranked as the number one South African golf course. The Gary Player Country Club has a fully equipped health club and spa of an international standard, and offering a full range of beauty treatments and therapies.

The Sun City resort caters to every conceivable taste, and activities include game viewing safaris, hot air ballooning, riding the giant swells in the Valley of Waves and water sports. The Gary Player Country Club offers more sporting facilities such as 11 tennis courts, mountain biking and 2 jogging tracks around the Gary Player and Lost City courses.

It was on my bucket list to play the Gary Player Country Club course just once in my life. It's a bit pricey for the average person. It is so beautiful and everyone was so well trained and pleasant towards my husband and I. The whole experience is superb. Unfortunately we could only play 13 holes then the siren went off and we had to abandon play ! So sad, I would have loved to be able to play all 18 holes. Best regards, Denise van Zyl 082 412 4736

Beautiful course - please change 18th hole as you finish far from clubhouse, 18th should be as spectacular as 9th.

Greens were true. Fairways perfect. Great Caddies. Cant believe the grounds staff did such an amazing job with the course given the terrible rains a few weeks before. Well done!
