Marina Bay Golf Course

Mostly Clear
-°C Today, Forecast: -
NOTE: TEE TIMES CAN ONLY BE BOOKED BETWEEN 16 AND 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE
Opened in November 2006, Marina Bay Golf Course is Singapore's first and only 18-hole golf course which is open to the public. Located strategically in the heart of town, the course offers golfers great accessibility and a picturesque view of the city skyline, be it day or night. Designed by South African Phil Jacobs, who was responsible for the design of The Links at Fancourt in South Africa and Ria Bintan in Indonesia, Marina Bay Golf Course is one of the few outstanding links-styled golf courses that you can find in Asia.

The design of the par 72 championship course attempts to connect to the history of golf - traditional links of Scotland and the beginning of golf - with its few water hazards and in particular, its 85 pot bunkers. These bunkers not only serve as one of our dramatic features, they are also geared to provide hours of challenges and excitement to golfers. The signature holes of the quality course include the par-3 13th, complete with island green design and the 651-meter 4th hole, Singapore's first and only par-6.

Besides being one of the few golf courses in Singapore to offer night golfing, Marina Bay Golf Course also houses one of the biggest driving ranges. The four-tier driving range with 147 bays operates from 7am to 10. 45pm every day, except on Monday mornings.

There are zero rain check options. Once you start, you are out of luck if it rains. That is different than if you book directly with the course. Golfscape needs to sort this out as it is very bad way to do business.

there are very few options to book golf in Singapore. it is not great when you first arrive at the course to be told if you start there will be no rain check available. I also have a bad experience already booking through golfscape, previously I had to take a rain check from the course, having paid 289 dollars each for a 2 -ball. the rain check is valid one month and I was totally unable to re-book and so have lost the best part of 600 dollars. it is quite ridiculous

Another long round, the transfer from day to night golf is not easy. Take plenty of drinks out with you as there is nowhere to get any after you start, no drinks carts on the course. Course however in good condition.

they should open up the lockers but limit people going in and out. they can control number of people inside at any given moment and only hand out access once the guests or users are called.

They could do with more drinks/snacks vending machines.  The lights could also be stronger at night time.

Very slow round 5+ hours, too many peopl on the course as usually. No drinks anywhere on course to buy once your out. However, greens now in good condition.

$289 to play a course with greens that had just been corked, very rough! Too expensive for a course with greens in that state.

The obsession of putting so many people on the course and speeding them through like a Conveyor belt is not fun and certainly not golf. While singaporeans might be obsessed with running between shots and trying to complete a round in the shortest possible time this is not how the game should be played, especially in such high temperatures. Very disappointing experience
