It seems they're on the right track with getting the course back to being in a better condition. I'd read plenty of the recent reports and was pretty concerned about what state the course would be in. As it was, in mid-March the tees had been partially resodded in some places, the fairways were fine and the greens okay. Greens had been cored/tined a week or so ago and putted quite true.
Course design is still excellent and the homes around the course are mostly complete. Petrol carts still relatively poor but they do the job.
For the reduced OMR25 green fee, I'd say Muscat Hills is a decent option.
