Eagle Canyon Country Club is a top standard 18-hole golf course with a rating of par 72, with a driving range, and was remarkably constructed out of an old sand quarry. The course was constructed by "Wonder Gardens" and was designed by the very talented Douw van der Merwe.
The course plays along the Canyon cliffs, along and over beautiful water features, with the clubhouse perched on the highest point with a full view of all 18 holes.

Found the course very interesting and different, without a local would have found it difficult to find our way around. Typical golf resort long distances between tees and greens not suitable at all for walking so many steep hills

After i had finished my first nine and arrived at Half way house the food was not ready as well as several of the buffet breakfast ingredients not being available. I also had to wait for three four balls when starting my second nine, the chaps in front of me even remarked that they hardly ever see the course marshals out on the course.

Both golf carts batteries went flat on the 15th hole. The cup on the the first green was wet with paint which ended up on my hands, face and clothes. Staff workin on the course have no regard for golfers teeing off. Enjoyed the golf course though.

Nice course, right mix of enjoyment with challenge. Very good conditions and greens are super (although not much need to read breaks - all about pace). Its a tough walking course - on a very large estate with distance from green to tee and lots of long steep hills.
