Some of the airlines that fly to South Africa have allowances for your golf equipment. Please note that baggage allowances with airlines change from time to time, so be sure to check for any updates before you depart.
South African Airways: You can take one additional sports piece onto selected* SAA flights as long as it doesn’t weigh more than 23kg per passenger.
Emirates: All sporting equipment including golf equipment will be accepted as checked baggage, as part of your standard baggage allowance.
Virgin Atlantic: Virgin will fly your golf equipment as part of your baggage allowance as long as it weights in at 23kg or less.
Etihad Airways: With Etihad, golf equipment is accepted free of charge in addition to your checked baggage allowance. This means that you can carry one set of golf equipment, weighing a maximum of 15kg.

Arabella Golf Club: Arabella is always ranked as one of the top golf courses in South Africa due to the clubs pristine conditioning, sand traps, and challenging water hazards. The Arabella Golf Club is a beautiful private golf estate surrounded by the scenic Kogelberg Mountains.
The Arabella Hotel & Spa is an amazing place to stay at whilst golfing in Cape Town, with rooms overlooking the golf course and surrounding lagoons. Another hotel to consider is the Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate, located in Cape Town. The course offers stunning views of the beautiful golf estate, and the food is highly recommended.
