Situated on the cliffs above Budleigh Salterton, East Devon Golf Club offers the keen golfer 18 challenging holes on one of the country’s top 10 heathland courses. Established in 1902 and designed by Harry Colt, the championship course is blessed with excellent drainage and can be enjoyed all year round. Regarded as one of the finest courses in the region, East Devon is in the Top 100 Golf Courses of the British Isles.
At its longest the course measures 6297 yards, however with several tees rated for both men and ladies, East Devon offers a challenging and enjoyable round for all golfers. The Club is an England Golf Championship venue, hosting the 2012 Ladies County Finals, the 2017 English Club Championship and the 2018 English Girls Open Championship. In 2020 the Club, together with Clinton Devon Estates, began a programme of renovation to restore the heathland environment Harry Colt would have seen.
