Shrivenham Park Golf Club offers a good standard of golf course, which although not the toughest, still throws up new challenges from hole to hole. The course is set in an open expanse of mature parkland, forcing you to negotiate woodland and the occasional stream on your way round. Overall this is a great course for golfers of all levels. The course is set in an open expanse of mature parkland, forcing you to negotiate woodland and the occasional stream on your way round. Overall this is a great course for golfers of all levels. There has been a golf course on the present site since 1966, with the full 18 holes being completed in 1969. In May of that year the course was officially opened by former Open champion, Max Faulkner and Ryder Cup star, Brian Barnes (see thumbnails below). Now a mature course set in 110 acres, Shrivenham Park has developed a deserved reputation as offering a good and interesting test for golfers of all abilities. Most memorable is the course's own version of 'Amen Corner' - holes 5, 6 and 7 - which is always a talking point amongst visitors and members alike.
