Montgomerie Links Vietnam

Mostly Clear
-°C Today, Forecast: -
Montgomerie Links is located midway between Hoi An and Danang, Vietnam's vibrant third largest city. It is just 15 minutes drive from Danang International Airport, which is serviced by direct local and international flights.

Life and style go hand in hand at Montgomerie Links. Residents are surrounded by one of the most beautiful golf courses in Asia, and the unique Central Coast location is ideal with abundant recreational and cultural attractions all within easy reach.

Eight-time European Order of Merit winner and 2010 Ryder Cup-winning captain, Colin Montgomerie, designed the beautifully presented links-style course. It was the first - and remains the best - of the new courses to be created in the Central Coast area and the accolades have already started to grow. The 2012 Forbes Travel Guide rated Montgomerie Links as one of Asia's ten most elite courses, and it recently won a prestigious Asia Pacific Property Award.

Acclaimed by local and visiting golfers alike, it is challenging enough to test the best players, while being eminently playable and enjoyable for mid and higher handicappers.

The 2012 Forbes Travel Guide rated Montgomerie Links as one of Asia's ten most elite courses. It has been designed to capitalize on its close proximity to the warm, tranquil East Sea and famed Marble Mountains, which are clearly visible from various points on the 18-hole course.

The over-arching design philosophy behind all of Colin Montgomerie's designs is to work closely with natural characteristics of each site. Montgomerie Links Vietnam has many truly outstanding natural features. The sandy soil, wind-blown dunes, and indigenous vegetation combine to create the framework for a very strong links-style golf course that caters to players of all abilities and is a sheer delight to play.

Although the course doesn't officially have a signature hole, the stunning par-5 12th is truly memorable. Playing slightly uphill to a bunker-riddled fairway, the hole is framed by the clubhouse in the background and has been described as the best par-5 in Vietnam.

Very expensive comparing to golf in Australia where i can play on championship courses for less. Bunkers were not in great condition and the rough grass was tough to play out of. Caddie was best part of experience. You rely on overseas visitors playing and a lot need to higher clubs which is costly. I can play for 4 rounds of golf at my home golf club Curlewis for the same cost. Also it is far too hot to play comfortably try and think of more ways to keep players cool.

There were places where weeds were growing on the course, and it was a bit of a problem. Other than that, it was a beautiful course. There are a lot of ponds and bunkers, it is hard to be green, and it is hot, and it is hot and hot, and I was about to die if I did it from noon the day before, so I got the start earlier than 6 o'clock . It was much easier than in the daytime. Danan is hot this time of the year. I played golf in Malaysia, Thailand, etc. but it was the hottest spot ever.
