The development of the Boschenmeer Estate, which incorporated the grounds of the Paarl Golf Club, took place in 1997 and changed the face of the Paarl Golf Club radically. The redevelopment created a further nine holes which became the Boschenmeer Nine, which resulted in the Western Cape's first 27 hole golf club.

In 2004 the new clubhouse was officially opened.

We did 9 holes earlier this week. We were told that it was not busy but after we started there was immediately after us a big group starting. Further more we could not find the Course handicap conversion table on the website. We asked for it per email but did not get any reply

Course condition is mediocre (especially off the fairways).  No marshalling so there were ludicrously slow players blocking the course.  Layout is interesting and demanding esp in wind.  Drinks balcony is very picturesque.  Staff in pro shop were very good.  Price is v.ery reasonable

Staff was very unfriendly (receptionist!), we had to pay 1.000 ZAR deposit in cash (!!!) for the prebooked and prepaid rentalclubs, otherise we had to leave the course without playing. This policy was not announced to us.  Course conditions on and around the greens were good, course is partially situated along the motorway N2.

Fairways extremely parched, tees getting that way. All due to the water shortages, which the club can do nothing about. Although they have 4 boreholes, all but one have dried up and they are rightly concentrating on keeping the greens in shape. A great pity really, as the course would have been a whole lot more enjoyable with green fairways and water in the hazards. The staff were all very welcoming and doing their best in very difficult circumstances. Will visit again - once it has rained!

It is a nice venue.  The drought obviously did not allow it to be played at its best
